Chaplain Report

On the Third Sunday of Advent, at the Saturday 4:00 pm Vigil Mass, Father Miceli welcomed all of the Knights in attendance for the Memorial Mass.  He especially thanked the “Honor Guard” of the 4th Degree.

In his Homily for December 27, in celebration of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, Father reminded us that the Gospel is different for this Sunday.  Last year’s Gospel dealt with the family flight into Egypt, this year’s Gospel is the travel to the temple and presentation, and next year’s Gospel will deal with finding Christ in the temple.

Father also remarked about the prayer of Simeon that he made to God with Jesus in his arms:Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in sight of all the peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel.
