There was discussion regarding how the miscellaneous money left over from the jambalaya fundraiser may be spent in the future. A banner or tablecloth runner with Ladies Auxiliary logo was discussed.
AUGUST 2024 Community Donation (Mid City Redevelopment Alliance - A/C unit)- Grace Cazes read a request to purchase 1 or 2 A/C units for the Mid City Redevelopment Alliance. Theresa Tracy will purchase with a military discount and Grace Cazes explained she would be reimbursed once she presents receipt.
Bake Sale Committee Chair (Amy Lawler)- Grace Cazes spoke on this issue in Amy Lawler’s absence reporting that Amy will chair the event again this year. In the next meeting (September) it has been recommended that Amy form a committee to assist her in preparation of the bake sale. The traditional weekend prior to Thanksgiving may cause an issue due to the renovation of the church and need for church to relocate to the Family Center. An email from the church office was shared with members so that everyone is informed of the pending issues that the auxiliary will need to work around to make this event happen. It was recommended by an auxiliary member that Amy possibly look at another weekend after construction is complete.
