April 2024 Minutes
1. CALL TO ORDER
PRESIDENT – Grace Cazes called the meeting to order with the Opening Prayer of St. Francis and Pledge of Allegiance.
2. ROLL CALL/NAME TAGS/MONEY BOX FINES
VICE PRESIDENT – Julie Giroir provides the roster to all attendees to note their presence at the meeting. Prayer requests are included on this sheet. Name tag collections. Kathy Madere was recognized as a guest.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM LAST MEETING
RECORDING SECRETARY – Lynn Hitchcock reported that no corrections were received before the meeting; however, there was one correction at the meeting. Amy Lawler presented information about the group attending the movie Cabrini on March 10. The minutes were approved as corrected by President, Grace Cazes
4. CARDS SENT FOR BIRTHDAYS, ANNIVERSARIES, MISCELLANEOUS CORRESPONDING
SECRETARY – Laura Roshto reported on cards sent, etc. See Attached Report.
5. ACCOUNT BALANCE
TREASURER – Eretta Perrien reported expenses and account balance. Sarah Munn completed the annual audit. See Attached Reports.
6. NEW BUSINESS ITEMS TO DISCUSS
A. April 2024 Community Donation -
Renee Lindsey made a motion and Mary Lynn Segala seconded it to give Jeremy Chaisson $200, and Amy Lawler made a motion and Laura Roshto seconded it to give Catholic Radio $200. Both motions were approved. This used up all funds in the Community Donation bucket for this year.
B. Lady of the Month - April was Bethany Sclafani
C. Fish Fry - Update ($14,371 Sales / $9,369 Profit)
D. M. MANNINO NIFTY 50/50 GAME – Faye Coorpender - The winner for April was Eretta Perrien
E. First Communion Gift - “The Joy of Being a Catholic Child” 16 books were purchased for the First Communion class.
F. Officer Nomination Information - April Meeting Lorraine Lauret was appointed Committee Chair (NOTE: Voting in May)
a) Julie Giroir – gave a short talk about service as VP.
b) Eretta Perrien – gave a short talk about service as Treasurer.
c) Lynn Hitchcock -gave a short talk about service as Recording Secretary
d) Laura Roshto – gave a short talk about service as Corresponding Secretary
e) Grace Cazes -gave a short talk about service as President & Board Member Position
G. Any New Business – to be added to next month’s agenda.
7. KC OFFICER MEETING INFORMATION
• KC Adoration Program - if you wish to attend Adoration (Wed 9-10am or Thurs 1-2pm), please contact Mike Giroir.
• KC/Auxiliary Yearly Awards Banquet Date - May 18, 2024, it will be catered by Ashley Manor
