2024 Awards Banquet
Kaycee Ladies Auxiliary receives the Grand Knights Award
Laura Roshto presented with Shirley Dronet What a Woman Award
This lady is a kind, loving and generous person still working in her Professional Career full time, so know that volunteer work is not easy. She is not a resident of Baton Rouge but willingly drives the distance to meetings and events. She has been a member of the Kaycee Ladies Auxiliary since 2016.
She currently holds an Officer's position within the Auxiliary, in which she is dependable and extremely accurate in her duties. Once again, this year, she took on the Chair position working with the Sanctuary House/St. Patrick House at Christmas time preparing gifts for (8) women and (6) babies, enabling the Auxiliary to support the Sanctuary House/St. Patrick House in helping women in our community prepare to become the best parent they can be. In addition to this, she has been very active in working Lenten Fish Fries on Fridays as well as Donut Sunday hosted by the Auxiliary in February of this year.
Aside from the above, because of her personality she dedicates time to assisting with many medical issues of those close to her; husband, mother and mother-in-law. She has seven (7) step-grandchildren with the oldest being 16. Her character traits shine through in her relationship with those grands.
Not mentioning any names, she also puts up with her family members' bossiness and idiosyncrasies, one of whom is also an auxiliary member.
On behalf of the Kaycee Ladies Auxiliary, we wish to honor and thank you as our recipient of this year's Shirley Dronet What a Woman Award, Laura Roshto, for your service within the Auxiliary and for those around you who are fortunate enough to have your care.
Pat Mauras presented with Sister of the Year Award
I would like to thank this lady for generously volunteering her time at our fish fries and most, if not all, other cooking events as well as our yearly bake sale. She never hesitates to speak up when she sees areas that can be improved upon. Her positive attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference. She has been known as an "Uber Driver", many times giving rides to those in need of attending our events to serve our community. Her Lenten word this year was "sacrifice". I have seen her leave in the middle of a cooking event, pick up another volunteer and return to finish her service. Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they have the heart. She joined our auxiliary in 2016.
Her "Faith Life" involves being a Parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church, attending Adoration weekly and fills in as User during Mass as needed. But it doesn't stop there. She is also involved in the ministry that brings Mass to White Oak Post-Acute Care monthly. When she isn't busy with her various ministry work, she also serves as President of her Senior Bowlers League.
Your support of the Kaycee Ladies Auxiliary allows us to continue to fulfill our mission and serve people in our community each year as you play an important role in our growth.
On behalf of the Kaycee Ladies Auxiliary, I would like to thank Pat Mauras, as Sister of the Year, for her strength in supporting our auxiliary events and her continuous efforts to make us stronger.
Mary Godeaux presented with the Perfect Attendance Award
On behalf of the Kaycee Ladies Auxiliary, it is our honor to present this award to Mary Godeaux who consistently shows her support of the Auxiliary playing an important role in our growth.
