SEPTEMBER MEETING MINUTES
September 5, 2024
1. CALL TO ORDER
PRESIDENT – Grace Cazes called the meeting to order with the Opening Prayer of St. Francis and Pledge of Allegiance. She provided an update on Church Renovations and shared that during renovations Ladies Auxiliary will meet in the Library.
2. ROLL CALL/NAME TAGS
VICE PRESIDENT – Lynn Hitchcock provided the roster to all attendees to note their presence at the meeting. Prayer requests were included on this sheet. There were no guests. A new nametag was given to Kathy Madere. A new nametag for Cammie Talbot will be held until next meeting, due to her absence.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM LAST MEETING
RECORDING SECRETARY – Bethany Sclafani reported that no corrections were received to the August minutes. Grace Cazes, President approved the Minutes as recorded.
4. CARDS SENT FOR BIRTHDAYS, ANNIVERSARIES, MISCELLANEOUS
CORRESPONDING SECRETARY – In Laura’s absence, Grace Cazes read the report, which is attached. Mary Godeaux mentioned her name was misspelled.
5. ACCOUNT BALANCE
TREASURER – Eretta Perrien reported expenses and account balance.
6. NEW BUSINESS ITEMS TO DISCUSS
Name tag collections Julie Giroir collected $1.00
Lady of the Month for August was Theresa Tracy for her assistance in purchasing the Air Conditioner for Mid City Redevelopment Alliance.
AUGUST 2024 Community Donation –Faye Coorpender shared information on the Woman’s New Life Clinic Born to
Run Bronze Sponsorship for $250 which would allow our name to be on the Born To Run Shirt for the race on Nov. 16th.
Mary Lynn Segalla made a motion to donate $250 and Ildi Gajda seconded, and it was passed unanimously by members.
Bake Sale Committee Chair Amy Lawler explained the bake sale would occur the weekend before Thanksgiving. She asked for volunteers for the Bake Sale Planning Committee. Volunteers were Paula Huckabee, Eretta Perrien, Mary Godeaux, and Carolyn Gravois. President Grace Cazes will also participate in the planning meeting. Amy also passed around a sign-up sheet for anyone to list the baked goods that they would donate.
M. MANNINO NIFTY 50/50 GAME – Faye Coorpender announced that Julie Giroir was the winner
Any New Business – Eretta Perrien reminded that she is still collecting DUES: ($10) We accept cash or check (made out to: St. Patrick KC Auxiliary)
7. KC OFFICER MEETING INFORMATION
KC Adoration Program - if you wish to attend Adoration (Wed 9-10am or Thurs 1-2pm), please contact Mike Giroir.
Rosary Dates: (Lead Rosary before 4:00pm Mass) 10/12, 11/30
IDF Campaign (Tootsie roll Drive) date set for October 3, 4, 5 (Hi Nabor) You can sign up online or directly with Mickey Brown.
Knights of Columbus Family Day - Date set for Oct 20 - Knights cooking hamburgers/hotdogs (Still planning)
8. ONGOING BUSINESS
Sanctuary House/St. Patrick House: Laura Roshto, Lynn Hitchcock, Melinda Leblanc
Fun Things to Do (Grand Coteau Tour - Bethany & Paula) - Tuesday, 9/17/24- please be at church at 7:30 am with $7
entrance fee.
9. CALENDAR OF EVENTS
See reverse side of agenda- it was mentioned by Grace Cazes that LSU cooking event on Aug 26th begins cooking at 1 pm and serving will be done in the evening.
